To the left of the Glyptotheca is the double portal (Dipylon), which connects two of the buildings of the Ny Carlsberg brewery. The Dipylon is erected by Etatsraad Dahlerup; the two doorways are shaped as railway tunnels and are made of heavy granite blocks in extremely elegant cutting. The gate is adorned with a peculiar frieze deco­ ration, nine painted portrait-figures. Ab'ove this is a bell wifli two large bronze-figures (modelled by Stephan Sin- ding) that strike the hour.
