Runddel the tram terminus is reached, and here we deseend. Only removed some few minutes drive from the centre of the town we find ourselves amidst the freshness and splendour of nature. The Runddel itself may be discribed as an old- world idyl within the city. catered for by the many near-lying large and small theatres, cabarets and restaurants, amongst which should be mentioned the »Betty Nansen theatre« in Frederiksberg Allé, the notable establishment »Lorry« in Allégade, and the small cosy refresh- ment gardens in Pileallé. Cliief of all attractions here is, of course, the ever popular Frederiksberg Park, the main entrance of which is flanked by the picturesque old wings, the remains of the re- sidence built by Frederik IV for the royal prin- cesses, which give the place an architectural cha­ racter. High up on the top of the h ill in the Southern part of the park lies the beautiful old palace gener Restaurant »Wivel« stattgefunden hat. Dann kommen wir an Frihedsstøtten, (Freilieitssåule)vor- iiber, (einem Monument zur Erinnerung an die Be- freiung von der Grundhorigkeit), das m itten auf dem Plateau iiber der unterirdischen Boulevard- balin, vor der Fassade des Hauptbahnhofs steht. Zur Linken liegt ein Privatgebåude, worin das Dånische Volksmuseum, bis eine neue Ordnung stattgefunden hat, untergebracht ist. Es enthålt vortreffliche Sammlungen von Volkskunst, Trach- ten, Hausfleiss, Kunstindustrie und kulturliistori- sche Bauern- und Biirgerstuben.
