Nygade ends by Vimmel- skaftet. On the corner of this and tlie short Skoubogade is situated the main-store of the well known tobacco-firm of Hermitz and Kattentid. In Skoubogade No. 1 is the fre­ quented confectioners shop »La Glacea. By continuing through Viminelskaftet we pass to the left the Jorcks Passage, lea­ ding to the Copenhagen quar- tier latin (see map. 1 ) and notice opposite the passage in No. 47 the cafe »Bernina«, for­ merly much frequented by a r­ tists. No. 37 belongs to the firm of nSilkehuset, L1d.«, the la r­ gest dealers in Copenhagen in silks (see Chapter 8 ).

Nygade, by the entrance to which, to the left, is a red building. On the first floor here is the much frequented Swiss-cafc of P. a Porta (see Chapter 14) and on the op­ posite corner, owned by the Privatbanken, is the N.ytorv branch of this bank (see Chapter !)). In No. 4 the stylish exhi­ bition of the Copenhagen faience manufactory attrac ts attention (see Chapter 8 ) and in the same building the firm of Christensen and Zahrt tnann has its large curiosity shop. Opposite this is the ne­ west b uilt moving picture theatre, Alexandrateatret (see Chapter 13).
