The F. A. Thieles Optical Establishment, therefore in its. line and in mercantile and technical respect, finely repre­ sents the ability of Copenha­ gen — in this case of Den­ mark.

The Optical Establishment of F. A. Thiele belongs to the elite of the Danish business- world. I t is more than a hundred years old, founded in the year of 1817 by the man, whose name still is kept by the firm. F. A. Thiele belonged to a highly respected fam ily in Copenhagen. The business was constantly continued by his descendants, in 1859 by his son J. C.
