Nivaagaard Picture-Gallery.

Gallery and is open to the public Wednesdays 12—2 in the period from April to Oc­ tober. Tourists, in the mean­ time, may get admission a t any time by application to the lodge-keeper the day be­ fore. Admission free, catalo­ gue K r. 1,20. The Nivaagaard Picture-Gallery, near the little town of Nivaa, was created by the po- litican, the estate owner Jo­ hannes Ilayc by collecting for many years. In 1908 he made the collection an independent institution an installed it in a special building in the g a r­ den of Nivaagaard. A t his death it was bequeathed to the State. In the older p art are found works by Luini, Lotto, Rubens, Rembrandt, Bol and Jan Steen, while the

Danish masters are repre­ sented by Fckersberg, Kobke, Lundbye, M arstrand, P. C. Skovgaard etc. Besides the paintings there are a few sculptures by the senior and junior Bissen. The Gallery is open all summer from May 15th to September 15tli. On Sunday, Wednesday and Friday open 1—4. Admis­ sion on other days by appli­ cation to the gardener. Ad­ mission free.
