The State Art-Museum.

The Cronological Collection of the Danish Kings (see chapter 9 »Rosenborg Palace«). The State Art-Museum (Route 4) is situated in the park Ostre Anltcg. In the garden in front of the building are placed a number of sculptu­ res by Danish sculptors. The museum was bu ilt in 1889— 9G according to the plans of V. Dalilerup and Georg E. IV. Muller, and is richly orna­ mented w ith portrait-m edal­ lions. The museum is divided into the following d epartm en ts: 1 : The collection of pain­ tings and sculptures, consi­ sting of a special rich collec­ tion of Danish works, pictu­ res by the old masters and by Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish artists.
