Vesterbros Passage, beginning at the Town-Hall Squa­ re, is the first p a rt of Ve- sterbrogade and is throughout the year the very lively cen­ ter of the numerous guests of the places of amusements, theatres, variety’s, music- halls, etc. grouped around this p a rt of the city. A t each side on the corners of the Squa­ re we notice the cafd Para- plyen (the umbrella) and the building of the Society of In­ dustry w ith the Industricafe, in which the small cabaret- theatre »Bonboimi£re«. The building of the Society of Industry besides is occu­ pied by the rooms of the socie­ ty w ith biy halls for exhibi­ tions, by the Industrial Coun­ cil, the Danish Association of Engineers and different other institutions. By the main-entrance of the building one enters the big exhibition-halls, where exhibi­ tions of the most varied kinds are hold during the year. Next to this building is Apollo- Theatret (see Chapter 13) who­ se building with its pendant, the Wivel Restaurant (see Chapter 14) are situated on each side of the copula-formed main-entrance to Tivoli, whe­ re more than a million of the inhabitants pass every sum­ mer (see Chapter 13).
