The wharf of t he compagny is situated on Kefshaleoen. Behind Christians K irken is the Holms place with the fac­ tories of the old firm of Ja­ cob Holm and Sons. A t the other end of Strandgade, to the left of Torvegade, are the W ilders place, the Kroyers place- with the Copenhagen Floating Docks and Ship- wharf, Ltd. From Strandgade the Set. Anncegade leads to Prinscssegade w ith Vor Frel- sers K irke (The Church of Our

Saviour), the characteristic to ­ wer of which is dom inating Christianshavn (see Chapter 7). Torvegade ends at the wall at the old excise office from 1700. 'Here a path to the left leads to the artillery-bar­ racks in Baadsmandsstnede. To the right it leads to the army shooting school and practice-ground and further to Langebrogade at the Re­ finery of the Danish Sugar- Factories Ltd. and the muni­ cipal bathing establishments at Langebro. The new Amager- Iionlevard begins here and leads to Ama.gerbrogade. In No. 80 is the State Serum Institute (see Chapter 7) and in No. 115 the Royal, Mint. To the left is the large new quarter along the harbour, the Islands Brygge.
