fftøb of RANDERS ffie/n/rna/iÅ Randers is one of the oldest towns in Danmark. Centuries ago it arose on the spot where the high-roads from North and South, East and West con- verged at the most convenient Crossing of the Gudenaa river, the onlg river of any importance in Denmark. . ‘ In view of the great development of high road transport at the present time this favourable position makes Randers admirably suited as a distributing centre for a great part of Jutland. The port and the entrance to it through the Randers Fiord have undergone considerable im- provement and extension during the last few years. The depth of water In the fairway, which^has a total length of 30 k.m. with a. minimum bed width of 22 m., is the same as in the port viz: 23*. The total length of effective quay space is 2600 m. with almost unlimited possibilities for extension. The swinging spaces in the harbour correspond to a length of 150 m. There are direct railway tracks throughout and the harbour is provided with modern mechanical discharging appliances for coal and grain. The port has for disposal considerable areas excellentiy suited for the erection of warehouses, storage places or indu strial activities. The position of Randers „where the sea meets 13 highroads" offers excellent conditions for the transshipment of goods in all directions. Regular steamship lines are main- tained between Randers and Copenhagen, Hamburg, Bremen and Antwerp. Any information regarding the port

^of Randers will be furnished on appiica- tion to the Chairman of the Harbour Committee, Burgomaster Aage Riis Flor, Randers. i
