'T H E PORT OF FREDERICIA is situated on the deep and icefree Little Belt. The depth in the Citadel harbour is * 243/4 ft. (7.53 m.) and in the old harbour 18V2 ft. (5.65 m). Length of quayage in the former 1050 ft. (320 m.) and in the latter 2379 ft. (725 m). Two oil jetties, depth of water 253/4 ft. (7,85 m). Railway lines along botli sides of the harbour. One crane lifting 8 tons, and a large crane for the discharge of coal (capacity 40 tons per hour). There are two regular pilots available for piloting vessels to : Frederikshavn, Kiel Fiord and Elsinore. Moderate port charges. Large areas having direct rail connexion to be leased for industrial purposes.
