KOLDING HARBOUR is situated down Kolding Fiord on the East Coast of Jutland and stands in direct communication with the Danish State Railway system. The length of quayage is about 7000 ft. and the depth of water for navigation and at quays is 23 ft. There are no tides. The harbour is the traffic centre for a considerable part of Denmark, consequently forming a distinctly advantageous basis for the disposal of qoods, general- trade, transit tråde and industry. The traffic moving via this port consists of all the various groups of goods in fairly equal proportions. All harbour dues etc. are extremely moderate. Extensive sites with direct access to quays and railway lines are available in the harbour suitable for all kinds of trade activities, and there are likewise warehouses for transit operations. German Baltic ports and Leningrad, also Copenhagen. Kolding is Den- mark’s greatest port for the export of live animals. Short and convenient connexion with London and English Channel ports via the Kiel Canal. The Harbour is equipped with all modem appliances such as coalhoist, transportable discharging cranes and gear. There are large stocks of coal and also large petrol, petroleum and other fuel tanks.
