EXPORT DIRECTORY OF DENMARK The Export Directory of Demnark is published by Krak’s Legat in collaboration w itli the Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and with the support of the Ministry for Conimerce. The Export Directory of Denmark is distributed free of charge in all parts of the worid. AI] of the Danish Legations and Consulates receive a copy of this publication, the reinainder of the edition distributed on the recoin- mendation of the Legations and Consulates to Chambers of Commerce, various institutions, and, as far as possible, to the more important business firms abroad. The Export Directory of Denmark in its entirety forms a supplement to “Krak’s Directory" vol. II, Krak’s Trade Calendar. Krak’s Directory, published by Krak’s Legat, Copenhagen, was first issued in 1770, and is the oldest directory in the worid. This work, published annuallv in two volumnes of more than 4000 pages, contains, besides a register of addresses of business concerns and pivate persons in Denmark and Iceland, a number of valuable reports relative to these countries, thus making the Directory a practically indispensable handbook. Krak’s Directory is distributed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to the Danish Legations and Consulates abroad. The numbers are also shown at the top of each page. Under each heading are shown the names of the exporters of the article in question. The index contains all the designations of goods shown in alphabetical order. Where the question concerns designations consisting of several words making it doubtful which heading should be looked up, the designations will be found under each of the words. For instance Molting barleg and Barleg, molting — are each shown separately in alphabetical order, each with the number of the goods appended (31). On desiring to find exporters of a certain article it will allways be expedient to avail oneself of the index, by means of which the goods designation required is quickly found in the List of Products. ! » Conversely, should it be desired to ascertain the articles a certain firm exports reference should be made to the List of Firms on page 59 and following pages. Here will be found the complete list of exporters, each shown separately, together with the kind of goods the firm exports shown in italics. (See Directions for using „Exporters1 section page 56).
