On desiring to find exporters of a certain article it will all- ways be expedient to avail oneself of the index, by means of which the goods designation required is quickly foun in the List of Products. Conversely, should it be desired to ascertain the articles a certain firm exports reference should be made to the List of Firms on page 33 and following pages. Here will be found the complete list of exportes, each shown separately, together with the kind of goods the firm exports shown in italics. (See Bireetions for using „Exporters« section page 30). Concerning monetary matters, mortgage institutions and banks, also harbours, shipping and navigation, see sections: Financial Institu­ tions, Shipping etc. page 289 and following pages.

The figures opposite each designation of goods indicate thenumber of the article in the List of Products on page 97 and following pages, in which latter the headings (goods) are arranged in numerical order with number added. The numbers are also shown at the top of each Page. Under each heading are shown the names of the exporters of the article in question. The index given below contains all the designations of goods shown in alphabetical order. Where the question concerns designations con- sisting of several words making it doubtful which heading should be looked up, the designations will be found under each of the words. For instance Malting barleg and Barley, molting — are each shown 8eparately in alphabetical order, each with the number of the goods appended (31).
