De engelske investorer lægger tilsyneladende mindre vægt på hjemmemarkedets størrelse end de øvrige. Arbejdsmarkedsforhold, forsknings- og uddannelsesmiljø samt underleverandørmuligheder betyder mindre for de franske investorer, der også lægger mindre vægt på de "hårde" og målbare faktorer som f.eks. løn, husleje og skatter.
