sold by the late K ing Georg of Greece. From 1884 to 1918 the Supreme Court had its rooms there. Now the inside has been restored thoroughly, corre sponding to the beautiful exterior of the palace og containing a number of fine ly equipped offices for the »Baltica«. The opposite corner, for merly Prince Frederik of Hesses Palace, is owned by llornung and Mailer, who have installet their renowned manufactory of pianos there, besides having arranged a small stylish concert-hall. A t the end of Frederiks- gade to the right is Amalien borg Square (see chapter 9)

Thus the big insurance com pany »Baltica« bought the corner property of Frederiks- gade, the old King Georgs Palace, built in the middle of the 18th century by count Joachim Bernstorff and sin ce then occupied by different princely persons, until it was
