Gilleleje: Gilbjerghoved.

tion are many fine walks and points of view. The tra in from Ilornbsek continues its way to Kildc- krotj and Dronningemellc, in the neighbourhood of which is situated the Ilulcrod Bd- dehotel, from the tower of which is a wide view on the C attegat to the big promon tory of K ullcn in Sweden. Passing Firhoj and Soborg, one reaches the term inus of the railway, Gilleleje. Gilleleje is a. large, town- like village, beautifully situ a ted in a valley between the steep hills of Nakkehoved and Gilbjerghoved. I t has a good harbour and is much frequen ted by summer guests, for wich reason the number of

villas is strongly increasing. On account of the summer- storms from Cattegat, the bathing-houses are placed on the beach. Bathing from the beach itself is perm itted eve rywhere. Oilbjerg is the most nor thern point of Sealand and west of the town. Towards the E ast is Nakkehoved with the light-house, one of the oldest in Denmark, built in 1771. From the harbour along the mole is a wide view' on C atte gat and the Swedish coast to Ilelsingborg. From here too the promontory of Kullcn may be seen, when the wea ther is bright.
