The closing houses for restau ran ts and cafes, etc. is 12 o’cl. night Some places though have a li­ cense to have the guests later but not let anybody in after 12 o'cl. * Physicians. In case of sudden sickness during the night, which makes the quick assi­ stance of a physian neces­ sary, one may telephone, after 12 o’cl. night, to the nearest police-station or the police­ man on duty, who gives the address of the nearest physician. On Sundays »Sondags- hegevagten« (telephone 2280) between 9 A. M. and 12 night gives the address of the nea­ rest physician on duty, the ambulance etc. * * Public Lavatories. Divine services. As a rule, tlie morning service is held at 10 o’cl., afternoon service a t 2 o’cl. and evening service a t 6 o’cl. About churches see pa­ ges 219—239. * * * Holidays: The Danish holidays are the follow ing: D uring the E a ste r: Thursday*, (Maun- day-Thursday), Friday* (Good F riday ), Sunday* (1st Easterday) and Monday (2d E asterd ay ). All saints day on the 4th Friday after and As- censionday on the 6th T hursday after E aster. In Pentecost: Sunday* (Pentecostday) and Monday(2 Pentecostday). C hristm as: 1st Cliristmasday* and 2 Cliristmasday. New Years day. The days marked with * are high holidays: all amusements, and music are forbidden on these days, while the other holidays are to be considered as regular Sundays. The Constitution day on Ju n e 5th is half holidays from 12 o’cl. On Sun­ days all ,amusements are open from 4 o’cl to th eir ordinary closing time. Only business is suspended all day. # * * Closing hours. The closing hour, ordained by law for shops and business, is 6 o’cl. P. M., except F riday 7 o’cl.
