The m ain-shop of Horwitz & K altentid, Nygade 2

The standard brands, f. i. Mexico, Phonix and Times, are now known all over Den­ mark and are to be had every where — even — abroad, as the firm exports its goods to South-Ameriea, China, A u stra­ lia, England etc. and to all the Scandinavian countries. In the capital the firm keeps several shops. The maindepartmcnt is in Nygade 2, where all the brands of ci­ gars and cigarillos, made by the factory, are sold.

The firm of Horwitz & Kat- started the factory in the year of 1892 on a very modest scale. Very quickly though, the factory won a na­ me for its selected brands, and the business grew steadily to the present size of being the largest cigar-manufactory of the North. The factory is situated on Islands Brygge (K igkurven G- 8-10) in a large complex of buildings, pu ttin g its stamp on the quarter and giving work to about 1000 persons. tentid
