Gamle Kongevej and is called Vaster Farimagsgade, the passes across the old railway area behind the buil­ ding of Technological In sti­ tu te to Gyldenlovesgade (see Route 7), from which point the name is changed to Nor re Farimagsgade and then continues along Orstedspark to Frederiksborggade and af­ ter having crossed this street runs further under the name of Osier Farimagsgade past the Andreas Church (see Chapter 3), Kommuneliospi- talct, (the City-Hospital) (see Chapter 10) crossing Solvga­ de ending a t Osterbrogade (see Route 2). Going further through F re­ deriksborggade we come to Sntorvet (square), a t the cor­ ner of which the Cafe de la Reine is situated and from where Dronning Louises Bro (Queen Louises Bridge) leads to Norrebro. Dronning Louises Bro crosses the Peblinge and Sortedamsso (lakes) which are forming a necessary air-course between the old city and Norrebro. A t each side of the bridge, granite-built in 1887 by pro­ fessor Dahlerup, are small plantations, in which are pla­ ced the two antique statues of »The Nile« and »The Tiber«. From the bridge is a wide view to Vesterbro and Oster- bro and the idyllic promena-

On the opposite corner is the entrance of the Botanical Garden and next to this the Observatory and the Minera- locigal-Geologic Museum of the University (see Chapter 7). On the corner of Solvga- de through the fine gate is the entrance of the park of K ongens Hare (see Chapter 9) and opposite this one needs notice the beautiful old corner forming the entrance of the big Solvgade Kaserne (infan­ try barracks). Opposite this is situated the State museum of Art behind a garden filled w ith sculptures (see Chapter 3). Solvgade leads across the Fredensbro (bridge) to Bleg- damsvej (see Route 3). On the corner of Osier Farimags- gade is a big complex of buildings, forming the Poly­ technic Academy (see Chapter 7). Opposite in the Ostrc An- Iceg (park), facing Stock- holmsgade, is the Hirschsprung Art-Gallery (see Chapter 7) and then opposite this the Pharmaceutical Academy (see Chapter 7). After this detour we re­ tu rn to Norreport and con­ tinue our way through Fre- deriksborggade. To the left is »Gr 0 nttorvet« (the vegetable market) (see Chapter 10) with the Orstedspark in the background. A t the next cor­ ner Farimagsgade crosses Fre- deriksborggade. Farimagsgade begins at
